Liner Design

Liner Design

The Liner layout and material selection is an important part of the total tape solution. Choosing the wrong Liner material or layout will impact the process stability. First pass yield rate, cycle time and consequently the costs of the product. Our engineers are focused on developing the liner layout based on the individual customer’s requirements. The best results are always achieved when closely co-operating with our client's expert personnel.

Fully automatic or semi-automatic assembly lines require most accurate positioning of the adhesive components on the liner. To ensure the required accuracy and offer speed and cost optimised solutions for the various machines, Stokvis Tapes will consult on the most efficient and globally standardized liner material and layout.

The choice between manual and machine assembly process involves deciding whether in the medium or long term the investment in machinery, providing faster cycles, outweighs the cost of labour. Manual assembly reduces tape costs due to a more effective utilisation of the liner and less waste creation. But as it will mean several other compromises and our engineers will  assist you during the decision making process and share their knowledge about available alternative solutions.

Liner Drawing

Liner drawings are a central part of our development process solutions and help us to recommend the right products for our clients.

Every solution is offered in relation to a liner drawing and is integral part of the technical and commercial discussions. In the event of any design change all impacts on the liner drawing will immediately be updated and build the basis of an effective way of communication and understanding.

After design and client approval for the liner and part drawing, our engineers communicate the drawing package to our experienced rotary tool partners. This simple process ensures effective communication and best quality results.
